The Reid Garland Young Gunns trophy

Due to the on going pandemic(covid19) throughout 2020 all our earlier golf outngs had to be cancelled.

Leaving us with only one outing before the weekender to Northumberland. This became a combined trophy

for this year only The Reid Garland Young Gunns Trophy. 

This took place at Carnwath golf club on sunday 30th August. The weather was ideal and we had some good scores

recorded and everyone had an enjoyable day. It was also good to see some old faces come back to the club Gary and George

and hopefully we'll see them back next year. It was also a landmark moment for a new member Derek who following in his family's

tradition has now be christened into the Blantyre Miner's Welfare Golf Section.

The sweep (£13) was won by John Fullerton who picked Jim McMahon to win round 1 well done John.

the nearest the pin (£16) in round 2 was won by Paul Bowers a visitor who Joined us for the afternoon session

There were no magic two's (£13) so this will carry over to the Norumberland weekend.
